About ABBA
ABBA is world famous after selling over 370 million of their records, but does everybody know where their name originates from? At first, the name ABBA was used jokingly, as it is a Swedish canned food brand. The name stuck, as the original Swedish reference was lost to the international audience. ABBA is also the acronym made of the first letter of each band member's name. After getting the rights to sue the name, the single Waterloo was already released under the name ABBA, reaching the top of the UK charts. The rest, as they say, is history.
