Keenan met Howerdel in 1992, when "Tool" opened the performance of the famous group "Fishbone". Billy Howerdel was a sound technican of "Fishbone", and in the same time he wrote some compositions of his own, which he displayed to Keenan. Keenan had a good impression from Howerdel's works and they decided to try making something together.
