About Aaliyah
Aaliyah had an important role in popularizing R&B; in the 90s, recording three albums and collaborating with many artists, all in all forming a unique, forward looking sound. The hands of Timbaland and R. Kelly helped make Aaliyah's songs top 10 hits time and again. Since her debut album Age Ain't Nothing But A Number was released in 1994 and until he death in a plane crash in 2001, and posthumously too, Aaliyah sold 30 million copies of her albums.
