Al green could have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as he has in 1995, for either his soul music career or gospel music. Recording mostly soul albums until 1978 and winning over such followers as Marvin Gaye and the majority of critics, he has also delved into gospel music for the next decade and recorded many hits in this genre as well.
