About Amerie
Amerie grew up from a young age on military bases, due to her father who was in the military. She learnt from him to appreciate R&B; music, and from her mother she learnt the classics, what led to pursue an education and degree in English and fine arts at Georgetown University. The first single that Amerie released went to the top of the R&B; charts.
