The British hip-hop and jazz project called Us3 appeared in London in the early 90's. Music writers Mel Simpson and Geoff Wilkinson started the band. In 1991 the duo issued its first single called "Where Will We Be in the 21st Century?" The record was follwed by the band's next single entitled "The Band That Played the Boogie," which became rather popular in the UK.
